Short Eats, created by Melissa Bakth, is a revolutionary movement set to abolish bland, beige and boring food from the kid’s aisle.
Their nutritionist-approved dishes are colourful and cultural, and we joined Short Eats on their noble mission to improve the eating habits of an entire generation!
According to The American Gut Project, we should be eating 30 different types of plant-based foods per week. Short Eats ensures that is uses a variety of plant rich, nutritionally dense ingredients, including curry leaves, turmeric, coconut milk and Dahl.
Melissa, founder of Short Eats, approached us earlier this year (2022) and asked for us to help create some printed sleeves for Short Eats' baby meals. As a first step we helped with pricing up different options so Melissa could decide on the best baby food packaging for her.
Once a decision had been made, we took the food container she was using and created mock-ups of the new sleeves so she could check the sizing, visual appearance, and material type. We then tweaked the sizing of the sleeve so that we could print multiple variations for the different baby meal types in the most cost-effective way.
We also included a double-sided print, so some fun facts and activities could be added on the inside of the baby food packaging sleeve. Adding print on the inside of the sleeve is a great way to engage the customer with the brand for maximum impact.
Melissa said: "Newton Print was a great partner for us. We are a people-based company, and they actually won the pitch with us as they were one of the first to respond to our inquiry.
"Their correspondence with us was always swift and effective and they showed great expertise in the execution. We look forward to working with them for a long time!"
