Ping Pong is a contemporary group of seven restaurants across London, serving dim sum, cocktails and Chinese teas. It has locations in Soho, St Paul’s, Southbank, Covent Garden, St Katharine Docks, Westfield Shepherds Bush, St Christopher’s Place.
Dim sum are small bite-sized morsels that are perfect for sharing. Ping Pong's range include everything from steamed dumplings, baos and buns to griddled and baked puffs and gyoza.
At the beginning of 2022, Manager and CEO, Art Sagiryan, approached us looking for help with a pre-glued printed sleeve to fit a film sealed pulp tray for their Har Gau and Vegetable dumplings products.
After going through some samples of sleeves we had previously produced, Ping Pong decided to select a 500-micron one-sided board for their dim sum packaging sleeve, with a spot gloss coating (as a glossier finish was what they were looking for).
We then produced a couple of digitally printed mock-ups for Art to check the fit and visual appearance, and once this was confirmed and the artwork was finalised, we pushed ahead to print the dim sum packaging.
Talking about our service, Ping Pong's Marketing Manager, Gaia Cionnini, said: "This is the type of service we were looking for. We are just pulling away from an odyssey with a packaging company who dragged the process out for too long. It's so refreshing to get speedy replies and assistance."
We've also been approached to help develop the packaging for Ping Pong's cook-at-home range 'Ready to Steam' dim sum, which is being sold online with delivery to the whole of the UK.
