About Our Window Boxes

A window box is a box that has a cut-out window that is usually patched over with a film or acetate patch. This window allows consumers to see the product inside the packaging whilst protecting the product at the same time. If you have a food product for retail, giving visibility to what’s inside is important. With a window-patched box, this is achievable whilst still protecting the food from external contamination.

Windows are available in either standard PLA acetate or our bio-based CDA film which is suitable for home composting. Either material is also suitable for recycling at home, certified food safe and certified for use in refrigerated or frozen environments. Printed in our BRC-accredited factory, our food boxes with windows are ideal for cake, pie and dessert packaging as well as a range of other applications.

The CDA film or acetate window is patched onto printed cartonboard boxes to give visibility to the product inside whilst protecting the food.

Custom-made to fit your specific products, our food packaging boxes with windows can also include a wide range of features such as carry handles, crash-lock or tuck-end bases and skillet closures.

For easy storage and quick assembly, our window boxes can be pre-glued or supplied flat for machine assembly.

What is a window patched box?

Quite simply, a window patched box is a box that has a cut-out window that is usually patched over with a bio-based CDA film or PLA acetate patch. This window allows consumers to see the product inside the packaging whilst protecting the product from external contamination at the same time.

Due to their large die cut viewing window, window patched boxes are ideal for a range of retail and food products, including:

Yes! We print everything bespoke to fit your branding style and dimension requirements. This includes die-cutting, folding, gluing, part- and full-assembly so your bespoke packaging is ready for you to use.

Can you help me design my packaging ready for printing?

Yes, we can. We have a design studio in-house with a team of creatives to create your brand from scratch, or design your bespoke packaging to fit your existing product portfolio. Our design team are highly skilled in both the creative and technical aspect of packaging design so that it not only looks good but is cost-effective to produce.

Do you have a minimum quantity?

We can print as low as 1,000 units, up to hundreds of thousands. We can also print as few as 250 per SKU for multiple orders. All packaging orders are printed litho unless specifically requested for digital printing.
